A flashy car, new house, several five-star holidays on a Caribbean island - we've all daydreamed about winning the lottery.
But believe it or not, receiving such a large sum does have its downfall. Suddenly, everyone wants to be your friend; people come from out of the woodwork with dishonest intentions - expecting you to pay for every round of drink or invest in their new business plan.
One man claims to have come into a 'life-changing' amount of cash from a lotto win, but says the news has riled up his family members.
The 32-year-old describes himself as 'independent' and 'self-reliant' and says he's always worked hard to become financially stable and get to where he is today.
However, his family are 'irresponsible' with their money, allegedly getting into financial trouble frequently and relying on others to 'bail them out'.

Taking to Reddit last year, the anonymous man wrote: "When they found out about my lottery win, they immediately started asking for handouts. They said that it's only fair since we're family and that I have more than enough to share.
"They've even gone as far as to say that I owe them because they've helped me out in the past (which is not true, I've always been the one helping them)."
After explaining that he wants to use the money to 'secure his future' and won't be giving anything away, the man added: "They're calling me selfish and ungrateful, and it's starting to cause a lot of tension in the family."

Thousands of concerned users took to the comments section to share their thoughts, with most people slamming the 'guilt-tripping' family for begging for part of his win.
"It's your money, not theirs," one person wrote. "They don't get to decide how you spend it." Another agreed, commenting: "Any money you give them wouldn't be enough. They'd blow through it all and then start harassing you for more."
A third added: "Make sure your life is set up the way you want it to be, and then if you feel like helping them out, do it in a way they can't take advantage of," while a fourth warned: "NEVER give hand-outs to your family: they will come to expect it, which breeds resentment."
