In a joint statement on Wednesday on both Cameron Mathison (Drew, GH) and Vanessa Mathison’s Instagram accounts, the couple have revealed that they are parting ways after 22 years of marriage.
The General Hospital star, where he plays Drew Quartermaine, also welcomed Vanessa to Port Charles for a guest stint for three episodes back in 2022. On the ABC soap opera, Vanessa played an executive coach named Mia.
Cameron and Vanessa met back in 1998 while both modeling in New York City. Later, they tied the knot in 2002 and have two children together, Lucas, 21, and Leila, 18.

The heartbreaking statement read, in part:”After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways. We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other. We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together.”
The two also shared that Lucas and Leila’s well-being during the end of their union was of utmost importance to both of them: “Our children have been and will continue to be our highest priority, and we will forever share in our devotion and love for them. We remain friends, and both wish the best for one another. We sincerely appreciate your respect for our family’s privacy during this transition.”

As soap fans know, Cameron is extremely busy appearing in multiple projects including hosting Game Show Network’s Beat the Bridge, his series regular role on GH, and as one of the leads in Great American Media content and movie after securing a multi-year deal.
While it appears there was no trouble from those on the outside looking in on their over two decade marriage, Mathison told ET in 2022, “We’ve been married 20 years coming up this summer, and it hasn’t all been smooth, for sure. We went through rocky times the first five years.”
The split comes as the five-year anniversary of Cameron’s kidney cancer diagnosis nears in September, where as of now he is cancer-free.

Adele…you have a very, very good point. On one hand, divorcing celebrity couples seriously insist on total privacy. Then, they turn right around and throw their personal business out there on social media. To me, that REEKS OF TOTAL HYPOCRISY!!!!! Dumb as hell.

It’s ok I just can’t figure it out they want attention no they don’t! I think we need to just leave it all alone wish them well and let it go. Twenty two years kids I just don’t get it ?? But none of our business just don’t discuss it . Steve Burton s an example he has always been an attention hog I would have left him too. I think we might want to keep our private life private less atttacks

Just when you think there were not enough people angry enough at General Hospital’s Ava Jerome, think again. In the latest ABC promo for the week of August 5-9 on GH, Kristina and her unborn baby are in dire straits due to the fall she took out of a Metro Court Hotel room window during an argument with Ava.
Now, everyone is Kristina’s family is ready to put the blame on Ava, and especially Sonny, who vows to make Ava pay.
In the preview, Ava is in the interrogation room at the PCPD where Chase is wanting her account of the moments that led up to Kristina’s fall. He says, “Start from the beginning. …Tell me everything you remember.” How will Ava spin the story of what went down between her and Kristina? Will the fact that their were photos being shot from another location into Ava’s window be evidence that will hurt her case?

Meanwhile, at General Hospital, a concerned Molly asks TJ, if Kristina and the baby are going to be alright. From his demeanor, it seems like he is about to deliver bad news. In another key moment, Alexis is at the hospital saying that Kristina was in Ava’s suite, and she doeesn’t know why, but that is overheard by Sonny and Molly, and Molly says, “I know why.”
Later, Ava insists to Scott that Kristina’s fall was “an accident.” Trina visits Ava behind bars and asks her, “Was it …(an accident)? Then, it appears that Kristina’s family will learn of her fate and the fate of the baby.
So, is the beginning of the end of Ava Jerome? Will Kristina survive, but the baby not make it? Share your theories on how things will play out this week on Genera Hospital via the comment section, but first take a look at the promo.

General Hospital alum Johnny Wactor’s murderers have yet to be brought to justice. Now, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) have released for the first time surveillance photos of the suspects and their getaway vehicle.
The LAPD has released the images in an effort to get the public’s help in identifying the men involved. The newly released images show a stolen black 2018 Infiniti Q50 sedan, which the suspects fled the scene.
In a community alert notification, the LAPD show three men, two in gray-colored hoodies and one in a black hoodie. The man who pulled the trigger, identified only as “Suspect 1.” He has a tattoo above his left eye and on his right cheek.

The LAPD also released the grainy images that the the suspects fled northbound on Hope Street after the shooting. Police attempted to pull fingerprints from Wactor’s car and link the crime to any nearby catalytic converter theft, which has been a very prevalent crime these days.

It’s going to be crisis-mode tomorrow on Friday’s episode of the General Hospital, following the ending of the Thursday, August 1st episode of the ABC daytime drama series.
The scene that has everyone buzzing featured Maura West and Kate Mansi as Ava and Kristina. After being summoned to testify against her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she witnessed the beatdown of Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) at the hands of the mobster, Kristina is on the warpath.
Next, Kristina shows up in Ava’s room at the Metro Court Hotel, John (Adam J. Harrington) has already conveniently left and put his duffel bag behind the table. Kristina confronts Ava demanding she withdraw the subpoena. Ava says she is a mother trying to protect her daughter, and she should know something about that, given her current state.

Ava points out that if Kristina fails to testify she will be in contempt of court, and it will only bolster her case. Ava taunts Kristina about what she is hiding that has her afraid to testify. Kristina warns her to withdraw the subpoena or else. Ava says she’s looking forward to watching Kristina testify against Sonny in a court-of-law.
As the two continue to argue, photos are being taken through the window. Kristina promises she will make Ava regret making her take the stand, because when she does she’ll tell everyone what Ava did to Morgan and that she murdered Connie Falconeri. As Ava moves towards Kristina, she screams, “Don’t touch me!” Next, thing you know, Kristina takes one step back, trips over Cates’ luggage and crashes through the window landing in the Metro Court pool with several onlookers watching the terrible fall, including Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).

Kate Mansi spoke to Soap Opera Digest on taping the showdown between Ava and Kristina, that led up to her GH alter ego crashing through the window: “I think that was really smart and it leaves it in this really sort of knotty gray area because it’s like, ‘Wait, did she push her, or did she fall? Whose fault is it?’ The blame isn’t black and white. Kristina came to Ava’s hotel room so hot, you know? Off the charts! Kristina isn’t attacking her, but if you think about it, Kristina comes into her space and is yelling at her and upset with her and making demands and there is all this heat coming from Kristina. Ava did not lure her there; Kristina went there willingly, on her own.”
So, what did you think of a pregnant Kristina crashing through the window? Will the baby survive? Will Kristina see her brother Morgan (Bryan Craig) if she heads towards the light? Will Ava be accused of trying to kill Kristina? Share your theories via the comment section below.
